ZNANSTVENO EDUKACIJSKI CENTAR VIŠNJAN, with registered seat in Istarska 6. Višnjan, HR-52463, deals with the organization of these educational tours named “Starry Night Visit at Tican Observatory”, “Family Starry Night Visit at Tican Observatory” and “Exclusive Limited Edition Starry Night Visit at Visnjan Observatory”.
Reservation and payment
Booking requests are received electronically, in writing, by telephone or in person at the agency’s office. When making a reservation, the guest confirms that he is familiar with these General terms and conditions. In this way all that is listed becomes a legal obligation for the guest and for the service provider.
The right of the service provider to changes and cancellation
The service provider has the right to cancel the reserved service if before or during the performance of the service exceptional circumstances occur which cannot be avoided or eliminated. The service provider then offers the guest an alternative tour date or refundation, according to the guest’s choice and the availability of the places.
The right of the guest to changes and cancellation
If a guest wants to change or cancel a reservation made on his request, he must do it 24 hours before the scheduled beginning of the tour.
Obligations of the service provider
The service provider’s obligation is to take care of the service performance and also about the rights and interests of the guest in accordance with the customs in tourism.
The service provider is obliged, if during the tour the clouds prevent viewing of a larger portion of the sky, to enable the guest to repeat the observations free of charge within the next 14 days.
Obligations of the guest
The guest is obliged:
- to have the correct travel documents
- to comply with the astronomers instructions during the tour and cooperate with the group in good intentions.
Pets
Pets are welcome with prior notice. Bringing a pet on the tour implies that the pet will be at all times with the owner and that it will not be left unattended and will not distract other members of the group.
Declaration of Disclaimer and Terms of Service
The service provider provides an astronomical tour service, respecting all legal obligations under the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Also, within its capabilities, the service provider will do everything to keep the guests safe and comfortable. However, the service provider assumes no responsibility for any inconvenience caused by the behaviour and neglect of the guests.
The service provider assumes no responsibility for any inconveniences, injuries or anything similar which may be caused by the negligence of the user of the service.
By buying a ticket, all participants confirm that they are in good health and can participate on the tour.
The service provider does not provide any insurance to guests attending the tour and every guest must be covered by his own insurance. The service provider assumes no responsibility for any accidental injuries.
All children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and full responsibility for them during their visit is borne by parents or guardians.
Children under the age of 6 years cannot attend the tour because it is not adapted to them and a height limit problem when viewing through a telescope may occur due to inadequate height.
Guests with their height below 120 cm are unfortunately not guaranteed to see the some celestial objects on some dates.
Guests heavier than 130 kg will not be able to observe most celestial objects through a telescope because of the stairs weight limit of 150kg.
All guests are OBLIGED to follow the instructions of the astronomers during their visit at observatory. Astronomer’s decision is final.
All appeals or praises can be made via e-mail. All users who request it will be informed in writing of actions taken based on the appeal.
All guests of limited edition astronomical tours service acknowledge that atmosphere and weather is a dynamic process and it is not possible to guarantee in advance the desired transparency or turbulences while observing the sky.
The reservation is considered confirmed after the ticket has been paid in full. If the payment is made online, the reservation is considered confirmed when the payment is received on the account of the service provider (or its agent). Once the reservation is confirmed, in case of cancellation by the guest, the paid ticket amount can be refunded no later than 24 hours before beginning of the tour. The ticket can be transferred to another person only for booked tour date.
In case the tour is cancelled by the service provider, the paid amount will be fully refunded. Guests cannot claim any other charges.
In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with our service, the parties will first try to resolve the dispute or request in a friendly manner. If a decision cannot be reached within 4 weeks, the parties accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Croatia.
Guests release the service provider of any liability for any direct or indirect damage, any material or non-material damage and/or costs (including the costs of the proceeding) that may arise as a result of participating in any type of Starry Night Tour at Tican Observatory and/or may be caused by the behaviour of the participants.
By purchasing a ticket, guests acknowledge that they are familiar with these Terms of Service and Declaration of Disclaimer and accept them as undisputable.
